ICT Elite Club 2004
ICT Elite CampThe ADOC program holds an ICT Elite Camp in Chinese Taipei annually. A total of 12 policy makers are invited, two representatives from each of the six ADOC Partner Member Economies.
The Elite camp provides the participants with valuable insights into a wide range of topics related to the planning and implementation of e-Trade, e-Government and e-Society. A comprehensive series of over 30 lectures, presentations and workshops are delivered by leading experts from government, academia, and the private sector. Lectures are complemented by a number of site visits and field trips, enabling the participants the see the actual implementation of the various e-policies, conducted by Chinese Taipei.
Policy makers are encouraged to bring e-Programs actually being implemented in their economies to the ICT Elite Camp for review and discussion. While at the camp, they are also expected to draft further e-Proposals, under the guidance of ICT experts in Chinese Taipei, to be taken back for appraisal, and possible implementation.
The ICT Elite camp provides an excellent opportunity for policy makers to share experiences and learn in detail about the e- Policies and practices of six different APEC member economies.
Expectations for Participants
To ensure successful programs, it is hoped that policy makers most suited to the program attend. Detailed below are some basic expectations.
1. English Ability: Participants are expected to have basic English skills.
2. e-Knowledge: Participants need to understand and be able to present the current ICT and e-Government status for their economy.
3. Participants should be from government, academia or leading private institutions. They should have the authority to plan and drive e-projects within their organizations. (Director Level is preferred.)
4. Capability: Participants should be able to draft an e-Proposal for their respective organizations during their visit.

The ADOC program held its first ICT Elite Camp in Chinese Taipei, November 2004. The program went very well with a total of 12 participants attending, two representatives form each of the six ADOC Partner Member Economies. Representatives were received from the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Peru and Chile.

ICT Elite Club 2004 - e-Policies
The 12 participants developed three policies at the ICT Elite Camp 2004.
- Elements for a National Strategy to Implement Electronic Official Document Exchange in the G2G and G2B2C Context
- Development of a Digital Content Industry
- Initiating E-Industry by Enabling Export-Oriented Electronics Industry to Access the Global Supply Chain Management Systems
